On Friday, June 13, 2025, John Ball Zoo hosted its premier fundraising gala, RendeZoo, under the enchanting theme "Nature’s Symphony." This exclusive 21+ event offered guests an immersive evening that harmoniously blended wildlife, music, and conservation efforts. Attendees meandered through illuminated pathways, engaged with ambassador animals, and enjoyed live performances, including dueling pianos and roaming entertainers. Culinary delights from 12 local restaurants and handcrafted cocktails further enhanced the evening's festivities.
A standout feature of the night was the 360 Photo Booth provided by Glitter Booth. This state-of-the-art booth, equipped with a five-person platform, allowed guests to create dynamic, shareable videos that captured the event's vibrant atmosphere. The interactive nature of the booth not only entertained attendees but also served as a memorable keepsake, encapsulating the joy and excitement of the evening.
Complementing this was Glitter Booth's Roaming Photo Booth, a handheld, mobile setup operated by an attendant. This innovative feature enabled spontaneous photo opportunities throughout the zoo grounds, capturing candid moments and enhancing guest engagement across the event space.
Adding to the enchantment, RendeZoo coincided with the Grand Rapids Lantern Festival, which illuminated the zoo with over 50 handcrafted Asian lantern displays.
